Katy and Her Misfits

Katy (aka UAC groupie) convinced some of her friends (aka the Misfits) to join her for a paddle on Mother Kaw with Up a Creek. The weather for the day was drop dead gorgeous…sunny blue skies, 80 degrees and some great water to float on. But this UAC and we did have a few hiccups that we had to work our way through. First, the bus was 40 minutes late but that was ok. We just to into account it was 5:00 pm some where so we had a few beers while we waited. Second, I got the counts wrong on the canoes. So there we were at the get, with no vehicle to get back to get more boats short a canoe! Jay was kind enough to let us use his 10 ft aluminum john boat to float paddlers down the river. It all worked out in the end (like most things in life do) and it was another fine day of paddling and floating down the Kaw for groupies, friends and UAC.
